Kevin MacDonald is a former MMA fighter turned referee with experience in all facets of the Mixed Martial Arts industry. Raised in the Boston area Kevin got into NHB (No Holds Barred, as it was called then) in Houston, TX training under Tim Mousel and Yves Edwards. Kevin competed in multiple MMA events including John Lobers’ infamous L.A.Underground, Louisiana’s World ValeTudo Federation, Extreme Shootout 2, Talon Challenge, and Rhode Island Vale Tudo 2. Upon returning to Boston, Kevin made the transition from fighter to official and began refereeing and judging.
Over the last 20+ years Kevin has refereed and judged MMA events all over the world including the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Bellator Fighting Championships, World Series of Fighting, Professional Fighters League (PFL), and Moosin God of War.
Kevin currently works as a professional firefighter/EMT where he lives in Watertown, Massachusetts with his wife and two children.
